Rhubarb crumble

Ingredients:

900g/2lb rhubarb
150g/5oz sugar
100g/4oz butter
75g/3oz simple flour
75g/3oz Demerara sugar
10 amaretti biscuits, beaten

Directions:
First, preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F/Fuel mark 6.
Then, slim the rhubarb, lower into shorter lengths and put inside a pan with the sugar. Stir around a reduced warmth right up until the sugar contains dissolved, then protect and simmer for 8â€"10 minutes right until the rhubarb is tender. Spoon into a deep 1.5-litre/ 21⁄2pt ovenproof dish.
Then, rub the butter into the flour right up until the combination resembles high-quality breadcrumbs, then stir within just the sugar and biscuits.
Finally, sprinkle the crumble above the stewed rhubarb, and bake for 15 minutes or until eventually the topping is golden brown. Provide with product or ice product.
