Mom's Browned Rice

Ingredients:
butter, without salt
onions, raw
rice, white, long-grain, regular, unenriched, cooked without salt
soup, chicken broth or bouillon, dry

Directions:
Melt butter in a heavy skillet.
Add rice and onion.
Stir constantly, browning the rice until golden brown.
Bring broth to a boil in a saucepan, add to the rice and cover.
Cook over LOW heat 40-50 minutes until rice is cooked, water may be added if needed.
