Easy Scones

Ingredients:
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
leavening agents, baking powder, double-acting, sodium aluminum sulfate
salt, table
sugars, granulated
spartan, real semi-sweet chocolate baking chips,
cream, whipped, cream topping, pressurized
butter, without salt
sugars, granulated

Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in bowl.
Add the chocolate chips (or optional ingredient, such as dried fruit).
Stir in the cream with a fork until dough holds together in a sticky mass (you may need to add a tablespoon or more of cream until dough holds together).
Turn dough out on a highly floured board.
Knead several times.
Pat dough into a 10-inch circle.
Cut into 8 wedges (or other shape as desired).
Place on ungreased cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart.
Brush dough with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake for about 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
