Lentil & rice salad

Ingredients:
175g/6oz green lentils
200g/7oz basmati rice
4 heavy crimson onions, thinly sliced
4 garlic cloves, beaten
250ml/9fl oz olive oil
50g/2oz butter
2 teaspoons flooring cinnamon
2 teaspoons lovable smoked paprika (pimenton dulce)
2 teaspoons floor cumin
2 teaspoons floor coriander
2 spring onions, chopped salt and recently flooring
black pepper

Directions:
First, cook the lentils and rice inside of individual pans of water until finally the grains are merely soft, then drain.
Then, inside a significant pan around a very low warmth, rather carefully sweat the onions and garlic within just the oil and butter for 30 minutes right up until incredibly tender and caramelized. Stir within the cinnamon, paprika, cumin and coriander, and cook for a added 2 minutes right until the spices are aromatic.
Finally, merge the onion and spice blend with the exhausted rice and lentils. Stir within just the spring onions, and time with salt and pepper. Provide scorching.
