Sausage Lentil Soup Recipe
Ingredients:
onions, raw
butter, without salt
soup, beef broth or bouillon canned, ready-to-serve
lentils, raw
pork sausage, link/patty, unprepared
salt, table
spinach, raw
lemon juice, raw
Directions:
Saute/fry onions in warm butter in Dutch oven till lightly browned.
Add in water, lentils, sausage, and salt and bring to a boil.
Skim off foam which rises to surface.
Cover and simmer 40 min or possibly till lentils are tender or possibly starting to burst.
Stir in spinach; cover and continue cooking for 10 min.
Add in lemon juice and correct seasoning if necessary.
Makes about 8 1/2 c. or possibly 8 servings.
Any leftovers can be frzn up to one month.
