Apricot Bars

Ingredients:
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
leavening agents, baking powder, double-acting, sodium aluminum sulfate
salt, table
oats
sugars, brown
butter, without salt
jams and preserves, apricot

Directions:
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
Stir in rolled oats and sugar.
Cut in butter until crumbly.
Put 2/3 of crumb mixture in 11x7 pan.
Spread with jam.
Cover with remaining crumb mixture.
Bake at 375 for about 35 minutes or until brown.
Freezes well.
