Maple Syrup Muffins
Ingredients:
margarine, regular, 80% fat, composite, stick, without salt
sugars, granulated
salt, table
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
leavening agents, baking powder, double-acting, sodium aluminum sulfate
oats
milk, fluid, 1% fat, without added vitamin a and vitamin d
syrup, maple, canadian
butter, without salt
sugars, powdered
syrup, maple, canadian
Directions:
Cream together margarine, sugar, and salt.
Add flour, baking powder, and rolled oats, and blend with pastry cutter until crumbly.
In separate bowl, mix together milk and syrup.
Pour maple mixture over top of dry ingredients and mix just until smooth.
Pour into muffin tins and bake at 350F for 20 minutes.
For glaze, mix ingredients together and spread over muffins when slightly cooled.
