Chicken Velvet Soup
Ingredients:
butter, without salt
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
milk, fluid, 1% fat, without added vitamin a and vitamin d
cream, fluid, heavy whipping
soup, chicken broth or bouillon, dry
chicken, broiler or fryers, breast, skinless, boneless, meat only, raw
Directions:
Melt butter in large saucepan.
Blend in flour.
Add milk, cream, and chicken broth.
Cook and stir until thickened and boiling.
Reduce to a simmer and stir in chicken.
Add salt and pepper to taste and serve when warmed through.
