Apple Berry Crisp Recipe
Ingredients:
apples, raw, with skin
cornstarch
apple juice, canned or bottled, unsweetened, without added ascorbic acid
butter, without salt
water, bottled, generic
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
oats
sugars, brown
spices, cinnamon, ground
salt, table
Directions:
Preheat over to 375 degrees.
Toss apples in cornstarch.
Place in a 2 qt casserole or possibly deep-dish pie pan.
Pour juice over apples.
Mix Butter Buds and water.
Combine flour, oats, sugar, cinnamon and salt.
Moisten mix with Butter Buds and water mix just till crumbly.
Scatter over apples.
Bake till crisp on top, about 45 min.
If crumb mix does not brown, place under broiler 3-5 min, watching carefully so it doesn't burn.
