Cheddar Crackers
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups sifted unbleached flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 dash cayenne pepper
2 cups extra sharp cheddar cheese, finely grated
Directions:
Stir the dry ingredients together in a bowl, then cut in the butter until the mixture resembles cornmeal. Combine with the cheddar cheese using a fork until well blended. Mix in the remaining ingredients and form into 1 1/2 to 2-inch rolls. Chill for 30 to 40 minutes in the refrigerator, then cut each roll into slices about 1/4-inch thick. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 400
