Sioux Indian Pudding Recipe
Ingredients:
milk, buttermilk, fluid, cultured, lowfat
molasses
salt, table
spices, cinnamon, ground
cornmeal, degermed, unenriched, yellow
sugars, granulated
spices, ginger, ground
Directions:
Preheat oven to 275 degrees.
In large, heavy saucepan, heat lowfat milk till bubbles appear around edge of pan.
Stir cornmeal and molasses slowly into lowfat milk.
Cook about 10 min or possibly till thickened, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat, fold in sugar, salt, ginger and cinnamon.
Pour mix into buttered 1 qt casserole or possibly baking dish.
Bake 2 hrs.
Spoon into serving dishes, serve hot.
Top with whipped cream if you like.
NOTE: "If it rains on Easter Sunday, it will rain every Sunday for seven Sundays."
