Susan's Strawberry Pie

Ingredients:
Shell: 1 cup chopped almonds, 1 cup pitted and sliced dates, 1/2 tsp vanilla. Filling: 8 large strawberries, 5 pitted and sliced dates, 2 ripe bananas, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 2 pints quartered strawberries, 1/2 pint halved strawberries

Directions:
Soak almonds in water for 4-12 hours, drain, and grind finely. Add dates and vanilla and mix well. Press into a pie plate to form the shell. Process the first four filling ingredients until smooth. Pour into a bowl, stir in the 2 pints of strawberries, and pour into the shell. Decorate the top with the remaining strawberries. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving. Keep in the freezer and thaw slightly before serving.
