Brown's Whole Wheat Waffles
Ingredients:
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
leavening agents, baking powder, double-acting, sodium aluminum sulfate
leavening agents, baking soda
salt, table
leavening agents, yeast, baker's, active dry
water, bottled, generic
honey
oats
milk, buttermilk, fluid, cultured, lowfat
lemon juice, raw
Directions:
Combine the first four ingredients and set aside.
Combine yeast, water, honey and cooked oat bran and let rest a few minutes.
Then add the soy milk and lemon juice, mix well, and combine with the dry ingredients.
Pour into a hot waffle iron and cook for 7 minutes.
Serve with pure maple syrup, unsweetened applesauce and cinnamon, or no-sugar pure fruit jam.
