Country Rice Cereal
Ingredients:
rice, white, long-grain, regular, unenriched, cooked without salt
milk, fluid, 1% fat, without added vitamin a and vitamin d
butter, without salt
spices, cinnamon, ground
salt, table
blueberries, raw
Directions:
In a medium saucepan, combine the cooked rice, milk, butter, cinnamon, and salt.
Bring to a boil, stirring often.
Reduce heat.
Cover and simmer for 6-8 minutes until thickened, adding blueberries after 4 minutes and stirring as needed.
If desired, top with honey or brown sugar.
Makes 6 servings.
