Cream Soup Base With Variations Recipe
Ingredients:
onions, raw
celery, raw
butter, without salt
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
salt, table
spices, pepper, black
soup, chicken broth or bouillon, dry
milk, buttermilk, fluid, cultured, lowfat
Directions:
In medium saucepan, saute/fry onion and celery in butter till tender.
Stir in flour, salt and pepper.
Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly, till smooth and bubbly.
Gradually stir in chicken broth and lowfat milk.
Cook till slightly thickened, stirring constantly.
Don't BOIL.
