Peanut Butter Chocolate Squares
Ingredients:
spartan, real semi-sweet chocolate baking chips,
butter, without salt
sugars, brown
sugars, powdered
butter, without salt
peanut butter, smooth style, without salt
Directions:
Grease a 9x9 inch pan.
Place the chocolate chips and butter into a microwave safe bowl and melt completely.
Set aside.
In a medium bowl, combine all the remaining ingredients for the peanut butter base.
Mix until smooth.
The mixture will have a slightly sandy texture.
Dont worry about small lumps in the brown sugar.
Press evenly into the prepared pan.
Spread the melted chocolate mixture evenly over the base.
Allow to cool, but before they are completely cool, cut into 36 pieces.
If you wait too long the chocolate will crack unevenly rather than making nice squares.
Of course I just eat the ugly ones and make a new batch -- .
