Scotch Shortbread

Ingredients:
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
sugars, granulated
butter, without salt

Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and sugar.
Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles fine crumbs.
Knead the dough until smooth, about 6-10 minutes.
Pat into an ungreased 15 x 10 inch baking pan.
Pierce with a fork.
Bake at 325 F for 25-30 minutes or until lightly browned.
Cut into squares while warm.
Cool on a wire rack.
