Chicken Velvet Soup
Ingredients:
butter, without salt
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
milk, fluid, 1% fat, without added vitamin a and vitamin d
cream, whipped, cream topping, pressurized
soup, chicken broth or bouillon, dry
chicken, broiler or fryers, breast, skinless, boneless, meat only, raw
spices, pepper, red or cayenne
salt, table
spices, pepper, black
Directions:
Melt butter.
Stir in flour to blend.
Slowly add milk, light cream, and chicken broth, stirring constantly until smooth.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and stir in chicken.
Add cayenne, salt and pepper.
Return to boiling and serve immediately.
