Vegan Cornbread
Ingredients:
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
cornmeal, degermed, unenriched, yellow
sugars, granulated
leavening agents, baking powder, double-acting, sodium aluminum sulfate
salt, table
soymilk, original and vanilla, unfortified
oil, olive, salad or cooking
applesauce, canned, unsweetened, without added ascorbic acid (includes usda commodity)
corn, sweet, white, raw
Directions:
Combine the dry ingredients.
Add everything else and stir just till it's all combined.
Pour the batter into a greased pan and bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes.
Test by sticking a fork or toothpick into the center--it should come out mostly clean.
