Llanddarog Fair Cakes
Ingredients:
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
butter, without salt
sugars, granulated
alcoholic beverage, beer, regular, all
currants, zante, dried
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350F.
Mix flour and sugar together and rub in the butter.
Make a stiff dough with the beer, roll out to 1/4 inch thick and cut into rectangles.
Use currants to mark like dominoes.
Bake at 350 F for 20-30 minutes until golden.
