Vegan Chocolate Cake
Ingredients:
applesauce, canned, unsweetened, without added ascorbic acid (includes usda commodity)
water, bottled, generic
vanilla extract
vinegar, distilled
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
cocoa, dry powder, unsweetened
sugars, granulated
salt, table
leavening agents, baking soda
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375.
Line two 9 inch baking pans with parchment paper.
If you don't have parchment paper, spray with Pam.
In a large bowl mix together the applesauce, water, vanilla, and vinegar.
In a seperate bowl, combine remaining ingredients.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the liquid mixture.
Beat well.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick is inserted and comes out clean.
