Teriyaki Chicken Wings
Ingredients:
chicken, broilers or fryers, wing, meat and skin, raw
oil, olive, salad or cooking
water, bottled, generic
spices, ginger, ground
soy sauce made from soy (tamari)
spices, garlic powder
sugars, granulated
Directions:
Cut each of the wings into three pieces, discarding the tip.
Place in a large skillet and brown in oil over medium heat.
Once they are browned, add water; cover and steam for 10-15 minutes.
Meanwhile; combine ginger, soy sauce, garlic powder and sugar.
After 15 minutes of steaming, pour the sauce over the wings.
Turn heat to medium-low and continue to cook for 3/4 of an hour, stirring occasionally, until chicken is tender and sauce is thickened.
