Cardamom Cinnamon Biscuits

Ingredients:
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
leavening agents, baking powder, double-acting, sodium aluminum sulfate
salt, table
leavening agents, baking soda
oil, olive, salad or cooking
milk, buttermilk, fluid, cultured, lowfat
butter, without salt
sugars, granulated
spices, cinnamon, ground
spices, cardamom
milk, fluid, 1% fat, without added vitamin a and vitamin d

Directions:
1.
Combine flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda in a medium bowl and mix well.
Stir in vegetable oil.
Add buttermilk and stir just until blended.

Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth.
Roll dough into a 15x8 inch rectangle.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease a 9 round baking pan.

Spread butter over the dough.
Combine granulated sugar, cinnamon and cardamom in a small bowl and mix well.
Roll up the rectangle, jelly roll fashion, starting from one long side.
Pinch seam to seal.

Cut the roll into 1 1/2 inch slices.
Arrange slices, cut side up, in the prepared baking pan.
Bake until lightly browned, about 1520 minutes.
Remove from the oven.
Pour milk over the top, if desired.
Serve hot with a good cup of coffee and TRY not to eat the entire pan.
