Coconut Almond Granola
Ingredients:
oats
wheat germ, crude
seeds, flaxseed
nuts, almonds
shortening confectionery, coconut (hydrogenated) and or palm kernel (hydrogenated)
sugars, brown
honey
oil, canola
shortening confectionery, coconut (hydrogenated) and or palm kernel (hydrogenated)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper or a baking mat.
In a large bowl, combine oats, wheat germ, milled flax, almonds and coconut.
In a smaller bowl, mix remaining ingredients and pour over dry ingredients.
Stir until evenly coated.
Spread granola on sheet pan and bake for about 40-45 minutes until golden brown.
Stir every 10-15 minutes.
Watch carefully the last 5 minutes to prevent over-browning.
Cool completely.
Break into chunks and store in an airtight container.
Lasts for several weeks in the pantry.
