Bordelonville Pecan Filling
Ingredients:
sugars, granulated
milk, fluid, 1% fat, without added vitamin a and vitamin d
nuts, pecans
shortening confectionery, coconut (hydrogenated) and or palm kernel (hydrogenated)
butter, without salt
Directions:
Cook the butter, sugar and milk in a saucepan until thick.
Add pecans until of a thick consistency.
Cool and spread between the layers to be frosted.
The filling will harden as it cools.
