Crock Pot Breakfast Quinoa
Ingredients:
quinoa, uncooked
salt, table
water, bottled, generic
milk, fluid, 1% fat, without added vitamin a and vitamin d
spices, cinnamon, ground
sweetener, syrup, agave
vanilla extract
Directions:
Rinse the quinoa with running water using a fine mesh strainer.
Drain.
Combine the quinoa, salt, water and milk in a crockpot.
Cook on low for 3 1/2 hours.
The texture should be like hot cooked oatmeal.
After 3 1/2 hours, remove lid, stir, and add cinnamon, sweetener, and vanilla.
Stir to combine.
Replace lid and cook for an additional 30 minutes.
Makes about six 1/2-cup servings.
