Aloha Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
milk, buttermilk, fluid, cultured, lowfat
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
wheat flours, bread, unenriched
salt, table
butter, without salt
sugars, granulated
leavening agents, baking soda
pineapple, raw, all varieties
shortening confectionery, coconut (hydrogenated) and or palm kernel (hydrogenated)
leavening agents, yeast, baker's, active dry
Directions:
Place all ingredients in bread pan, select light crust setting and press start.
1-1/2 pound loaf.
After the baking cycle ends, remove bread from pan, place on rack and allow to cold for 1 hour before slicing.
NOTE: forWelbilt/DAK machines, use 2 ts yeastfor Panasonic/Nat'l.
machines, use 3 ts yeast Deb's notes: Substituted 3 tb of buttermilk*pwdr*, 3/4 c plus 1 tb of water, and deleted baking soda in lieu of fresh buttermilk.
Worked fine.
Rich liked it with creamed clover honey, but he loved it in bread pudding!
