My Grandmas Peanut Brittle

Ingredients:
water, bottled, generic
sugars, granulated
syrups, corn, light
oil, corn, peanut, and olive
butter, without salt
leavening agents, baking soda
vanilla extract

Directions:
1.
Bring the water to boil.
Add sugar and white syrup.

Add raw peanuts and cook slowly over low heat until hard crack stage (300 degrees -310 degrees F), stirring constantly.
3.
Remove from heat and add butter, baking soda, and vanilla extract.
Stir quickly.
4.
Spread on large, well-buttered cookies sheet.
Place in refrigerator until completely hardened and shiny.
Use a knife to break up the pieces of peanut brittle into shards; it should crack easily.
