Crockpot Steel Cut Oatmeal
Ingredients:
oats
water, bottled, generic
salt, table
butter, without salt
apricots, dried, sulfured, uncooked
Directions:
Place all ingredients in a 2-quart slow cooker.
Dont use a larger cooker, as this wont work well.
Cover and cook on Low for 6-8 hours.
Serve with milk.
Add cinnamon, maple syrup and/or sugar to taste.
Note: you can make this on a weekend, portion out into zip lock bags and refrigerate.
Reheat in the microwave for a hearty weekday breakfast.
Can also be frozen.
