Brown Bread

Ingredients:
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
cornmeal, degermed, unenriched, yellow
salt, table
leavening agents, baking soda
milk, buttermilk, fluid, cultured, lowfat
molasses
nuts, walnuts, english

Directions:
1.
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. 2.
Sift and mix the dry ingredients, except the baking soda.
3.
In a separate bowl, combine the soda, buttermilk and molasses.
4.
Add the liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix well.
5.
Stir in the walnuts.
6.
Pour the mixture into a greased bread baking pan and cook for about an hour until well risen and browned on top.
Makes 1 loaf.
