Saffron Skillet-Baked Rice

Ingredients:
butter, without salt
rice, white, long-grain, regular, unenriched, cooked without salt
shortening, vegetable, household, composite
spices, saffron
spices, pepper, black
spices, onion powder
parsley, fresh

Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 F.
In a skillet (10) over low heat, add butter.
When it melts add brown rice and stir on low heat, just to toast the rice for a minute or two.
Add vegetable stock, saffron, black pepper and onion powder and stir to incorporate ingredients.
Cover skillet (you can use foil) and place in the oven for 25 30 minutes.
You will smell the fragrance as the rice bakes.
Remove from oven and add chopped fresh parsley as your garnish.
I like to serve this with a fish or chicken main course.

Note: Use saffron sparingly.
