Short Crust Pastry .
Ingredients:
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
salt, table
butter, without salt
Directions:
sieve flour and salt into a mixing bowl .
Rub in the butter with finger tips until mixture resembles breadcrumbs .
Add sufficient water to make a soft dough ,mixing with a round bladed knife ,which leaves the sides of the bowl clean as the mixture is kneaded together .
Knead until smooth ,wrap in securely in plastic and refrigerate until required .
