Rendered Pork Lard
Rendered Pork Lard
Ingredients:
pork, fresh, loin, tenderloin, separable lean only, raw
Directions:
Cut pork fat into small pieces.
Place in a cast iron pot over very low heat.
As fat begins to melt, scoop out and strain over a sieve lined with cheese cloth.
Continue process until you are left with solids.
Pour liquid into glass jars and let cool.
