Buttermilk Bread (Dede's) Recipe
Ingredients:
milk, buttermilk, fluid, cultured, lowfat
honey
salt, table
butter, without salt
wheat flours, bread, unenriched
leavening agents, yeast, baker's, active dry
Directions:
Place all ingredients in bread pan, select Light Crust setting, and press Start.
After the baking cycle ends, remove bread from pan, place on cake rack, and allow to cook 1 hour before slicing.
I used 1T applesauce in lieu of the butter and reduced the buttermilk by 1T.
This is a very nice, tender, rich loaf.
Great for sandwiches.
Next time I will try reducing the honey by 1T.
