Cornmeal Dumpling Dough

cornmeal, degermed, unenriched, yellow
leavening agents, baking powder, double-acting, sodium aluminum sulfate
sugars, granulated
salt, table
butter, without salt
milk, buttermilk, fluid, cultured, lowfat
Directions:
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cornmeal, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
Using your fingers, work in butter until small crumbs form.
Stir in buttermilk to form a slightly lumpy batter; do not overmix.
