Orange Molasses Bread
Ingredients:
sugars, granulated
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
leavening agents, baking soda
leavening agents, baking powder, double-acting, sodium aluminum sulfate
salt, table
nuts, walnuts, english
milk, fluid, 1% fat, without added vitamin a and vitamin d
orange juice, raw
orange juice, raw
shortening, vegetable, household, composite
molasses
Directions:
Sif together flour, sugar, soda, baking powder, and salt.
Add nuts.
Combine evaporated milk, orange rind, orange juice, shortening, and molasses.
Add to flour mixture all at once.
Stir just to blend.
Turn into a greased and wax-paper lined 9 x 5 x 3 loaf pan.
Bake at 325F (160C) for one hour and 15 minutes.
Makes 1 loaf.
