Aztec Hot Chocolate (Mark Bittman)
Ingredients:
cream, fluid, heavy whipping
spices, pepper, red or cayenne
vanilla extract
milk, fluid, 1% fat, without added vitamin a and vitamin d
candies, semisweet chocolate
spices, pepper, red or cayenne
spices, cinnamon, ground
Directions:
For the spiced whipped cream:.
Whip heavy cream with 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper and vanilla til soft peaks form; set aside.
For the hot chocolate:.
Warm the milk til it just begins to bubble and the chocolate is melted (dont let it boil).
Pour into mugs.
Top with the spiced whipped cream.
