Baked Chicken German Style Recipe
Ingredients:
butter, without salt
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
soup, chicken broth or bouillon, dry
milk, buttermilk, fluid, cultured, lowfat
lemon juice, raw
salt, table
spices, pepper, black
spices, nutmeg, ground
egg substitute, powder
chicken, broiler or fryers, breast, skinless, boneless, meat only, raw
cheese, parmesan, hard
spices, paprika
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 F. degrees.
Heat butter in large saucepan over medium low heat.
Whisk in flour and stir 3 min.
Gradually whisk in broth and lowfat milk.
Reduce heat, simmering till thick, about 10 min.
Blend in lemon juice and seasonings.
Combine cooked noodles and half the sauce, tossing gently to blend.
Place in the bottom of a buttered 2-qt casserole.
Top with chicken and remaining sauce.
Combine Parmesan cheese and paprika, sprinkle over casserole.
Bake till bubbling and golden, about 30 min.
Serve warm.
