Mary's Old Virginny Pie Pastry
Ingredients:
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
salt, table
shortening, vegetable, household, composite
milk, fluid, 1% fat, without added vitamin a and vitamin d
Directions:
Combine flour and salt in mixing bowl.
Cut in shortening until shortening is in pieces about 1/2 square.
Pour in all but 1 tbsp milk and toss with fingers until combined.
Add remaining milk to moisten dry bits at bottom of bowl.
Shape into a ball, cover and refrigerate at least 30 minutes to make rolling easier.
Can be frozen.
