Easy Drop Biscuits
Ingredients:
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
leavening agents, baking powder, double-acting, sodium aluminum sulfate
sugars, granulated
salad dressing, mayonnaise, regular
milk, fluid, 1% fat, without added vitamin a and vitamin d
Directions:
Mix together dry ingredients.
I know that normally you dont use baking powder with self rising flour, nor with buttermilk.
Usually youd see baking soda.
Trust the recipe!
Baking powder is correct!
Add mayo and milk and mix until combined.
You want the batter to be about the same as cupcake batter, not thick like regular biscuit dough.
You may need to add more milk, it really depends on your flour and the humidity where you are.
Drop by spoonfuls into a greased muffin tin.
Divide batter evenly between the 12 cups of the tin.
Bake for approximately 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees F until golden brown.
