WATERMELON LEMONADE

Easy SYRUP
2 cups water
1 cup granulated sugar
½ cup coarsely chopped fresh mint leaves

12 cups ripe, seedless watermelon cubes, about 4 weight
1½ cups fresh new lemon juice
Ice
Fresh new mint leaves
Watermelon wedges
1 lemon, reduce crosswise into slim slices

1. in a saucepan about medium warm, mix the water and sugar and cook till the sugar dissolves, relating to 2 minutes, stirring often. Remove versus the warm, stir in the mint, and allow for stand for 15 minutes. Refrigerate for 1 hour. Stress, and discard the mint.
2. in a blender puree the watermelon and then pour for the duration of a good-mesh strainer fixed in excess of a bowl. Carefully drive on the solids to extract much more of the juice. Discard any remaining solids. Shift the watermelon juice to a pitcher.
3. To the pitcher add the lemon juice and 1½ cups of the chilled basic syrup; combine properly (add additional easy syrup, if preferred). serve over ice. Garnish with new mint, watermelon wedges, and lemon slices.
Variance

Different 12 cups of honeydew melon cubes for the watermelon, relieve the lemon juice to 1¼ cups, and omit the mint.
