Heaven-Sent Biscuits

Ingredients:
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
salt, table
leavening agents, baking powder, double-acting, sodium aluminum sulfate
sugars, granulated
butter, salted
cream, fluid, heavy whipping
milk, fluid, 1% fat, without added vitamin a and vitamin d
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
butter, salted

Directions:
Preheat oven to 450 F. In a large bowl combine the 2 cups flour, salt, baking powder and sugar.
Work in the butter with your fingers or a pastry cutter until it is mixed in well.
Stir in cream and milk.
Let this mixture sit for 2-3 minutes.
It will be alarmingly wet.
Have no fear!
Pour the 1 cup flour into a pie dish.
Take some of this flour into your hand and pour about 1/4 cup of biscuit dough into the flour in your hand.
Sprinkle with more flour.
Shape it roughly into a soft round, cradling it in your hand and gently shake off excess flour.
It will feel like a water balloon.
Place biscuit into a buttered pie dish.
Repeat with remaining dough, pushing the biscuits together as you work so they will rise up and not out.
Brush biscuits with melted butter.
Bake at 450 F for 15-20 minutes.
These biscuits are so versatile!
Enjoy!
