Asparagus Cheese Soup Recipe
Ingredients:
butter, without salt
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
salt, table
spices, nutmeg, ground
spices, pepper, black
milk, buttermilk, fluid, cultured, lowfat
asparagus, raw
cheese, cheddar
Directions:
Heat butter; blend in flour and seasonings.
Remove from heat and stir in lowfat milk.
Return to heat, stirring constantly, till thickened.
Add in asparagus and cooking water; heat to simmering.
Remove from heat and stir in cheese till melted.
Garnish with paprika, if you like.
