Bourbon Style Chicken

Ingredients:
chicken, broiler or fryers, breast, skinless, boneless, meat only, raw
chicken, broiler or fryers, breast, skinless, boneless, meat only, raw
oil, olive, salad or cooking
spices, garlic powder
spices, ginger, ground
spices, pepper, red or cayenne
apple juice, canned or bottled, unsweetened, without added ascorbic acid
sugars, brown
catsup
vinegar, distilled
water, bottled, generic
soy sauce made from soy (tamari)
cornstarch
water, bottled, generic

Directions:
Add chicken to a large pot heated with oil.
Slightly brown the chicken.
Remove chicken and set aside, drain the pot.
Add garlic, ginger, crushed red pepper flakes, apple juice, brown sugar, ketchup, vinegar, water and soy sauce to the pot over medium heat.
Bring to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes.
To thicken the sauce, add corn starch and water.
Add chicken to the sauce just long enough to reheat the chicken.
Serve over rice.
