Easy Pizza Dough
Ingredients:
water, bottled, generic
leavening agents, yeast, baker's, active dry
honey
salt, table
oil, olive, salad or cooking
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
Directions:
Add the cup of warm water into the bowl of your mixer.
This recipe is forgiving so just dont make the water scalding hot, you dont want to kill the yeast.
Put the yeast in and let it dissolve for about a minute.
Add honey, salt and 1 tablespoon of the olive oil and mix.
Feed the yeast baby!
!
Put the dough hook attachment on your mixer and slowly add flour into the yeast mixture on a low speed until the dough isnt sticking to the bowl.
It should all be stuck on the hook when its ready, and just slightly sticky.
Then let the dough knead for about 5 minutes on a medium speed.
Drizzle 2 tablespoons of olive oil into the bowl and move the dough around to coat it in oil, so it wont stick.
Let the dough rise in a warm place for about an hour.
(Dont worry about being specific on time Ive let it rise anywhere from 30 minutes to 4 hours and it still turns out).
It should have grown quite a bit, slightly less than double its size.
Punch it down (let that aggression out)!
Stretch out the dough on a cookie sheet!
Feel free to toss it, but I am pretty uncoordinated so Ill leave that to you!
Top it with your favorite pizza toppings and bake in a 400 F oven for 15-20 minutes!
