Slow Cooker Black Bean and Hamburger Soup
Slow Cooker Black Bean and Hamburger Soup
Ingredients:
beans, snap, green, raw
beef, grass-fed, ground, raw
soup, beef broth or bouillon canned, ready-to-serve
spices, chili powder
spices, basil, dried
spices, cumin seed
spices, garlic powder
Directions:
Brown the hamburger meat, drain the fat and place the meat into a slow cooker.
Add the beans, seasonings and broth.
(You can soak the beans before if desired - I never do!
).
Cook on low for around 8 hours or until the beans are tender, adding water or additional broth as needed.
I usually need to add about 2 cups of water as the beans cook and soak up the liquid.
