Hot Lasses with Homemade Whipped Cream
Ingredients:
milk, fluid, 1% fat, without added vitamin a and vitamin d
molasses
honey
spices, cinnamon, ground
spices, ginger, ground
cream, fluid, heavy whipping
sugars, powdered
Directions:
Hot Lasses: Pour milk into a cup and add molasses and honey.
Heat in microwave for 2 minutes.
Stir well to combine.
Add cinnamon and ginger.
Heat for 1 more minute in microwave or until drinkably hot.
Stir again.
Add homemade whipped cream to top and sprinkle with more cinnamon.
Homemade Whipped Cream: Pour whipping cream into bowl and whip with an electric mixture on medium/high speed for several minutes until it sets (goes from a liquid to a solid cream).
Once set, add in powdered sugar a little at a time and mix on low speed until well blended.
Taste and add more powdered sugar until you get the desired sweetness.
Refrigerate until ready to use.
